How your exact age is calculated
An exact calendar age is not simply the number of days divided by 365. Months have different lengths, and leap years add an extra day. This calculator therefore counts completed years first, completed months second, and the remaining days last.
Chronological age vs. how old you look

This calculator uses the widely adopted international convention in which a person is age zero at birth and gains one year on each completed birthday. Historical or traditional systems may count age differently, for example by calendar year or a new-year transition.

How does the age calculator find my exact age?
It counts completed calendar years first, then completed calendar months, and finally the remaining days between your birth date and the selected calculation date.
Does the calculator handle leap years?
Yes. It uses the real length of each calendar month and handles February 29 with calendar-aware date rules. In non-leap years, the anniversary is clamped to the final day of February.
Can I calculate my age on a future date?
Yes. Change the calculation date to find out how old you will be on a future birthday, anniversary, or other date.
How is this different from AI age estimation?
The age calculator uses your birth date to calculate chronological age. The AI photo tool only estimates how old someone may appear in a particular image.
